F-500 ABEK1-P2 Multi-Gas & Dust Filters – For G-500, M-500 & G-750 Respirators

The F-500 fits all AirGearPro reusable masks: G-500, M-500, and G-750. All three use the same standard bayonet mount. F-500 is the gas-and-particle filter — combining a charcoal layer for organic vapours with a P2 particle layer. For particles only, the lighter C-500 is the right choice.

F-500 A1P2 covers organic gases and vapours — paint thinners, white spirit, lacquer, varnish, petrol vapour — plus particles at P2 level. F-500 ABEK1-P2 covers a broader gas spectrum: organic, inorganic, acid gases, and ammonia, plus particles. Choose A1P2 for general painting and DIY chemical work. Choose ABEK1-P2 for stronger solvents, agricultural sprays, or industrial chemistry.

F-500 A1P2 protects against organic gases with boiling points above 65°C — paint thinners, solvents, varnish, lacquer, white spirit, petrol vapour. F-500 ABEK1-P2 adds inorganic gases (chlorine), acid gases (sulphur dioxide), and ammonia. Neither filter protects against carbon monoxide, oxygen-deficient atmospheres, or unknown gases. Check the safety data sheet of the chemical you're working with.

Replace gas filters at the first sign of smell or taste of the chemical through the mask. Cumulatively, plan to change them every 30–40 working hours, or sooner in heavy use. Once exposed to gases, the charcoal layer continues absorbing even when stored — so an opened gas filter has a shorter working life than an unopened one.

Yes. Both F-500 variants include a built-in P2 particle layer (94% particle filtration). The C-500 particle pre-filter sits on top of the F-500 as a replaceable consumable, catching dust before it reaches the gas cartridge and extending the F-500's working life. For finer particulates — silica, lead dust — the C-500 P3 (99.95% filtration) is the higher-grade pre-filter option.

Line up the filter's bayonet tabs with the slots on the mask's filter port. Push the filter onto the mount and turn it clockwise about a quarter turn until you feel it click into place. Install one filter on each side of the mask. To remove, turn the filter anti-clockwise and lift it off.

Yes. F-500 filters are CE certified and tested to two European standards — EN 14387 for gas filters (the A1 or ABEK1 portion) and EN 143 for particle filters (the P2 portion). Each filter is marked with both standards and its protection class on the rim.
