G-500 Respirator Mask with A1P2 Filters and Safety Goggles

The G-500 kit includes one half-mask body, one pair of A1 gas filters, four pairs of P2 particle filters, one pair of safety goggles, one pair of earplugs, and a storage bag. It's everything needed to start using the mask straight away — no extra purchases required.

A1P2 is the protection grading of the G-500's filtration system. A1 means it filters organic gases and vapours with boiling points above 65°C — paint, solvents, varnish, petrol vapour. P2 means it filters at least 98% of airborne particles — dust, sanding debris, paint mist. Together, A1P2 covers most general painting, sanding, and DIY chemical work.

Yes, the mask works with any prescription glasses. The mask body sits below the nose bridge, so the glasses arms run above the mask seal without interference. The included goggles are a separate question — they fit small prescription frames inside the cup but won't fit medium or large frames.

The goggles fit small prescription frames inside the goggle cup. Medium and large frames will not fit. If you wear medium or large frames and need eye protection alongside a respirator, contact lenses are the better pairing. The G-750 full-face respirator is also not recommended with prescription glasses, as the temple arms can compromise the mask seal.

P2 particle filters typically last several weeks of intermittent DIY use. Replace them when breathing becomes noticeably harder, when they're visibly soiled, or after eight hours of cumulative use. A1 gas filters last 30–40 working hours of active exposure — replace at the first sign of smell or taste through the mask.

Yes. The G-500 is CE certified and meets the European standards stack for reusable respirators — EN 140 (half-mask body), EN 14387 (A1 gas filters), and EN 143 (P2 particle filters). The standards cover the mask, the gas cartridges, and the particle covers used with the G-500.

Yes. The included A1P2 filters handle most general painting and lacquering work. For stronger solvents — automotive paints, industrial coatings, polyurethane — upgrade to the F-500 ABEK1-P2 cartridge, which covers a broader gas spectrum. The mask body and bayonet mount are unchanged; only the filters need swapping.

The G-500 uses a standard bayonet mount. Line up the filter's tabs with the slots on the mask, push the filter on, and turn it clockwise about a quarter turn until you feel it click into place. Install one filter on each side. To remove, turn anti-clockwise and lift off. The mount also accepts standard 3M-style filters.

The G-500 mask body fits most adult faces, with adjustable straps and a flexible TPE seal that adapts to face contour. Customers with very large faces or prominent nose bridges occasionally report a small gap at the nose — try tightening the upper strap before sizing concerns become real. For very small or very large faces, a fit check before extended use is worth doing.

AirGearPro covers manufacturing defects on the G-500 for two years from purchase. Contact our customer service team with your order number and a photo of the issue. We replace defective masks without runaround. Filter durability, normal wear, and damage from misuse are not covered.
